Re: Our 6th Year Anniversary Updates
Dear Brothers and
Sisters in Christ:
Shalom! Blessed Be God!
Forever! Happy 6th Year Foundation Anniversary!
Today marks the 6th year foundation date of the SPICE
& YOUTH Family or the Order of the Lay Evangelizers of Jesus Christ or OLEJC. Way back during the Great
Jubilee Year 2000, these brave, remarkable, resourceful, persistent, God-fearing and outstanding Vincentian student leaders
and alumni of Adamson University in Manila City, Republic of the Philippines organized, established and founded our present
bond of brotherhood and sisterhood the SPICE & YOUTH Family or the Order of the Lay Evangelizers of Jesus Christ to respond
to the challenge then of Pope John Paul II “Do not be afraid!”
During its maiden year of existence, SPICE – Adamson University
then participated in various local, regional, national and international events and apostolates such as some of the following:
6th International Student Festival in Trodheim, Norway, 1st Philippine Values Formation Seminar at Antipolo
City, Philippines and the 2000 Catholic AIDS Network in Action World AIDS Day at Notre Dame of Greater Manila, Caloocan City,
Philippines and Union of Catholic Student Councils at Traders Hotel, Pasay City, Philippines. The founding members then brought
awards and citations from these grand events. It also organized various local, regional, national and international apostolates
that adjudged the founding members with citations such as for Best in Academic Activity of the Year, Best in Religious Activity
of the Year, Most Outstanding Organization Adviser of the Year, Most Outstanding Graduating Members of the Year and Most Outstanding
Non-Graduating Members of the Year in 2001 and 2002 at the International Hotel and Traders Hotel in Metropolitan Manila during
the Adamson University Awards Night. Many of these founding members and SPICE – Adamson University members are now professionals
such as teachers, engineers, lawyers, psychologists, chemists, media practitioners and businesspersons in their own rights
here and abroad. Some discerned to enter the religious life. To all SPICE & YOUTH Family founders who started the foundation
at Adamson University, thank you very much!
In 2001, the 1st year anniversary was held at Manila City
with annual apostolate theme “The Remarkable Product of the Great Jubilee Year”. The 2nd
year anniversary was held at Paombong, Bulacan with annual apostolate theme “One Journey, One Family, One Faith”
in 2002. The 3rd year anniversary was held at Kidapawan City with annual apostolate theme “The Agent
of Modern Evangelization” in 2003. The 4th year anniversary was held at Makilala, North Cotabato
with annual apostolate theme “Connecting the World, Bridging the Gap, Sharing the Love” in 2004.
The 5th year anniversary was held at Davao City with annual apostolate theme “Envoys of Peace, Builders
of Home, Fishers of Men” in 2005. Now, the 6th year anniversary will be held at Carcar, Cebu. Today
starts our annual apostolate theme “God’s Light Even to the World’s Darkest Corners.”
To define our present annual apostolate theme “God’s
Light Even to the World’s Darkest Corners”, amidst the challenging moments of our lives especially to
the Envoys and Ambassadors, let us put in our minds, hearts and souls that although many people criticize us, blessings for
them are imperative rather than curse like what Jesus Christ Himself did to his critics. He stood firm to his faith and conviction
that although trials, challenges and obstacles faced Him, He put His all trust to His Father who is also Our Father in Heaven.
With these awesome moves, He was able to bring love and care even to the Gentiles. Up to know His One and Only Church being
built still exists and that is the infallible Catholic Church. To the Envoys and Ambassadors, let us not forget to practice
the teachings we learned, we are now learning and will be learning from the SPICE & YOUTH Family to every youth and family
from all walks of life. Through this humble way, we will bring “God’s Light Even to the World’s Darkest
Corners”. Stand to “Benedictions rather than maledictions”!

To all concerns, for those Ambassadors who would like to serve
any Camp Silver Shield effective February 2006, there are many strict changes to our Home Rules and Regulations. One of these
is every Ambassador must undergo a one day seminar with the International Secretariat Team for each Ambassador to be knowledgeable
about ministering the Camp.
This coming April 2006, the global apostolate publication of the International
Secretariat Team named The Silver Shield Victory will be published for international subscriptions. Fifty percent of the total
sales will be saved as Funds of the College Education Assistance Beneficiaries and Vocation Education Assistance Beneficiaries.
The chosen individuals to be members of the International Secretariat
Board of Trustees are now on their process of discernment to minister with us. Let us pray for them that the Holy Spirit will
give them the gift of wisdom and to accept our honors for them. To all concerns, please help us praying to God as well that
sooner we will have our final International Secretariat Board of Trustees.
This April 2006, the 40-Day Camp Silver Shield will be implemented at
Cebu and Bohol simultaneously. This already includes the 14 Immersion Missions and Installation. Let us pray for these apostolates
to happen successfully.
This April 2006 as well, the International Secretariat Team has planned
to have the 2nd Camp Silver Shield at Gulf View Executive Homes, Bago, Talomo, Davao City for S&Y – Gulf
View Executive Homes. During this Camp Silver Shield, we will unveil the 1st Camp Silver Shield Marker at Gulf

gathering of SPICE & YOUTH Family or the Order of the Lay Evangelizers of Jesus Christ members from around the globe in
April 2007 at Davao City, Philippines.
For the short time until May 2006, our International Secretariat Office will be temporarily
at Zamora’s Residence before we will finally move on to a bigger venue within the vicinity of Davao City.
On behalf of the International Secretariat Team, we encourage our members
to pray the Holy Rosary daily, to hear and to receive Holy Communion during Holy Mass every Sunday and Holiday of Obligations,
to say confession every 1st Fridays of the month, to have Marian devotions every 1st Saturdays of the
month., to help your respective parishes and Basic Ecclesial Communities whatever help you can give and most especially to
pray, to support and to defend our Family, the SPICE & YOUTH Family or the Order of the Lay Evangelizers of Jesus Christ
starting from our fellow brothers and sisters to every mission we propose and implement. Let us pray as well for the successful
pastoral of our Vicar of Christ Pope Benedict XVI and his intentions for the infallible Catholic Church.
Hence, 2005 was been the challenging year of my ministry. It was not
that easy for me to survive the trials of life, but through profound faith in God and to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
very yours truly overcame and knew how were those persons who were supportive of my ministry for the greater glory of Jesus
Christ through our ecumenical apostolate of the SPICE & YOUTH Family or the Order of the Lay Evangelizers of Jesus Christ.
For those who believe in me and to the International Secretariat Team, thank you very much! For those whom I have had hurt
and failed, I AM VERY SORRY. Let us move on maturely in Jesus Christ “One for All, All for One, Whatever Happens,
Leave No One!”
Very yours truly puts in my mind, heart and soul “To follow
Jesus Christ, self-denial and carrying of one’s cross are two of the basic requirements of servant leadership.”
